Harvey

Harvey AI: legal AI your firm actually uses

Harvey is the specialised AI platform for lawyers. We don't build Harvey — we help law firms and legal teams adopt it safely: the right setup, policy that fits the professional rules and training per role.

What is Harvey?

Harvey is an AI platform built specifically for legal work: contract analysis, legal research, due diligence and drafting. It is tailored to the way lawyers work and to the demands on rigour and confidentiality. Gaide does not build Harvey, but helps law firms and legal teams adopt it safely and effectively.

  • Gaide is an implementation partner, not a vendor
  • Setup aligned with confidentiality and professional rules

Specialised legal AI, adopted safely

Harvey is not a general chatbot but an AI platform built specifically for legal practice: contract analysis, research, due diligence and drafting. For firms and legal teams that spend a lot of time on routine work, it can be a real accelerator.

Important to be clear about: Gaide does not build Harvey and does not sell licences. We are your implementation partner. We help assess whether Harvey fits your firm, set it up securely, draw up policy that aligns with the duty of confidentiality and the code of conduct, and make sure your people actually use it.

Because that's often where it goes wrong: buying a licence is not the same as getting value from it. Without a proper setup, clear policy and training per role, usage stalls with a few enthusiasts while the rest fall back on the old way of working.

We do that as forward deployed engineers: no advisory report and a handshake, but working alongside your lawyers until Harvey demonstrably saves time, without confidentiality or rigour being compromised.

What do you use Harvey for?

Faster review

Contract analysis

Reviewing contracts, flagging deviating clauses and marking risks. Harvey delivers a first analysis; the lawyer keeps the judgement and the final responsibility.

Well-founded searching

Legal research

Searching and summarising case law and legislation, focused on a concrete question. A starting point that saves hours of legwork, always verifiable by the professional.

Large files made manageable

Due diligence

In transactions, reviewing and structuring large volumes of documents and lifting out the points of attention. The team keeps time for the legal judgement itself.

A quick first version

Drafting & summaries

Drafting memos, summaries and first versions based on the case documents. Not a finished product, but a flying start the lawyer then sharpens further.

What you get from us

Independent implementation advice

We assess honestly whether Harvey fits your firm, based on your practice, your volume and your systems. If another platform or an in-house solution fits better, we say so.

Secure setup & integrations

Harvey set up within your environment: users and permissions, integration with the DMS and settings that protect client data. Confidentiality as the starting point.

Policy on the professional rules

Workable policy that fits the duty of confidentiality and the code of conduct: which files may go in, how you check output and who remains responsible.

Training & assurance per role

Hands-on training tailored to partners, lawyers and support, with examples from their own files. We measure usage and step in until it's a habit.

How do we approach it?

From licence to daily practice, with confidentiality first.

  1. Mapping needs & ways of working

    1-2 weeks

We map out where most time in your practice goes to routine work and which tasks lend themselves to Harvey. That way we aim the implementation at what really adds value.

  2. Secure setup & integrations

    2-3 weeks

We set Harvey up within your environment: users and permissions, integration with the DMS and the settings that protect client data. Confidentiality comes first.

  3. Policy & professional rules

    1-2 weeks

Workable agreements that fit the duty of confidentiality and the code of conduct: which files may go in, how you check output and who remains responsible for what.

  4. Training per role

    1-2 sessions per team

Hands-on training tailored to practice: partners, lawyers and support each work differently. Everyone leaves with working examples from their own files.

  5. Assurance & scaling

    ongoing

We measure usage, share the best ways of working internally and expand to more teams. Where Harvey and internal knowledge meet, we look at a broader AI knowledge system.

Where does Harvey deliver value right away?

For law firms

Cutting back routine work

Speeding up contract review, first research and drafts that cost a lot of time but require little judgement. That way lawyers keep time for the work clients really pay for.

Handling contracts, NDAs and internal questions faster without extra capacity. The legal department becomes an accelerator instead of a bottleneck.

Frequently asked questions about Harvey

What is Harvey?

Harvey is an AI platform built specifically for legal work: contract analysis, legal research, due diligence and drafting. Unlike a general AI assistant, it is tailored to the way lawyers work and to the demands the legal practice places on rigour and confidentiality. Gaide does not build Harvey; we help firms and legal teams adopt it safely and effectively.

Who is Harvey for?

Harvey is aimed at law firms and legal departments that spend a lot of time on contract work, research and due diligence. It pays off above all at volume: the more routine legal work, the greater the time saved. For smaller organisations with occasional legal work, a broader AI tool or an AI knowledge system on your own documents is often a better fit.

What about confidentiality and client data?

Confidentiality is non-negotiable in legal practice, and that is exactly what the setup is about. We make sure client data is not used to train models, configure access rights tightly and record which files may and may not go into Harvey. We align that with the duty of confidentiality and the code of conduct, so the use remains defensible.

Does Gaide position itself as Harvey, or as an implementation partner?

As an implementation partner. Gaide does not build Harvey and does not sell licences. We are tool-independent: we help you assess whether Harvey fits your firm, set it up securely, draw up policy and train your people. If another platform or an in-house solution turns out to fit better, we say so honestly.

What if Harvey isn't a fit for us?

Then there are good alternatives. For a broad comparison of AI tools for business we have a separate overview. And if you mainly want to make your own legal knowledge and files searchable with reliable, well-founded answers, an AI knowledge system on your own sources is often the better choice. We advise independently on which route fits your firm.
